Another Trip to Denver

My sister needed someone to go with her to Denver on a short notice.  So I told her I would go.  I didn’t think taking off work would be too bad for two reasons.  One was that I knew I would be working while on the road anyways.  Which I did.  I ended up working with a couple customers on some problems and resolving them for them.  Then the second reason was that I knew I was going to have to work sunday anyways when everyone was out of the system.  Which I did.  I ended up working from about 1 PM till 8 PM then a little later on in the night when I got home also.  So I don’t feel too bad about taking off friday to go up there with her.  It was just Trenedy, Amber, and myself that went.  Amber had her appointment at 1 and we got into Denver, checked in, and got some food just in time to go to her appointment.  WE got there right on time and they told us they would be with us any minute now.  We sat there for 45 minutes waiting until Amber went and let them know we were waiting.  They took her in within 1 minute after that.  So Trenedy (The baby) and I went downstairs and out into the back area that had a couple of fountians and tables and trees.  We hung out there for a bit while I worked on my computer doing some work and she colored on a page I ripped out of my harry potter book.  After a while I wanted Coffee so we went driving around looking for a place.  Amber wasn’t going to be done for at least two hours so we just took off without her.  I kept driving around and couldn’t find anywhere to get Coffee.  We were in a commercial area of town that was just full of huge office buildings.  I turned onto a side road and kept running into No U-Turn signs which is what I wanted to do.  So finally I just pulled into one of the parking lots thinking I could turn around in it.  Once I got in there I realized it was a Park with a Skate Park in it.  So I decided to just get out there and hang out.  So Trenedy and I walked around the park and she played around in the grass and chased after the geese.  Then we went up and watched the skaters wreck on their skateboards.

After a while we decided to head back and pick up her mom.  Then we headed downtown because we were both hungry.  She slept the whole time we walked down the 16th Street Mall (An outdoor mall that runsright down through the center of Denver)  We walked from one end all the way to the other end in and out of stores.  At the other end was the Cheescake Factory.  We went in there to eat and Trenedy finally woke up.  The food was great there and she just kept eating my ranch dip and celery and some of my hot wings.  That girl loves her hot food.  After that we walked back up to the other end and Trenedy was enjoying herself.  she walked most the way up there and was having a great time looking and waving at all the people.  Then we got back to the motel and we all ate cheesecake before we went to bed early (we were all tired).  In the morning we woke up and went down and had breakfast but Trenedy wasn’t hungry for the regular.  When we got back up to the room she let us know she wanted more hot wings.  So she ate hot wings for breakfast.

We headed back to Vernal finally after noon passed.  The ride home was uneventful and long.  I just sat there and read more of my harry potter most the way back.. well at least when I wasn’t driving.

An interesting Weekend in Phoenix

I made some Spontanous Plans this past weekend and got a flight down to Phoenix to visit my friend.  I worked Friday at the library and got alot accomplished work wise and really enjoyed that.  Then I headed to Lunch at an oriental resturant with my friend Roger.  After this i headed to the airport.  For the first time Since 9/11 I wasn’t searched from top to bottom.  I was soo expecting to be searched since I had bought my Plane ticket on such short notice.  It was nice only having to go through the standard security.  The past couple times I had to open my laptop and turn it on .. as well as my video camera.  Then they went completely through all of my bags that I had.  And after that they would proceed to pat me down.  But not this time.  I got there early so I went to the Wasatch Brew/Pub and had me some hot wings and a couple screw drivers.  When I got on the plane I kept hitting my head on the ceiling.  It was the smallest plane I had ever been on.  I had to pee really bad right after take off.  But since the isles were soo small I had to wait until the crew had finished serving drinks.  When I went to go to the bathroom I could barely fit in the tiny compartment.  It was worse then being stuffed in a closet or trunk.  I had to bend my keens and cock my head sideways just to fit in the damn thing.  I don’t think anyone could ever join the Mile high club in those bathrooms 😉

After landng and being picked up I started to realize how cracked out my friends were.  Boy did I have an interesting weekend in store for me.  They had some friend over that they didn’t want to know they were boyfriends .. and told me the hole scenario of what to tell him if he asked me anything about those two … like they didn’t move to phoenix togther (which they did) and things like that.  Once I had gotten to their house and they had started chatting on gay.com I started getting anxious from sitting there.  So, I had me a couple strong nasty screwdrivers (all they had was cheap vodka).  Then, I talked Devin into taking me over to Charlies, a gay western bar there in Phoenix – http://www.charliesphoenix.com/ .  Even though it was very early on there were alot of people (it was around 9 PM).  I walked around the bar and drank like a fish.  I talked to a few people.  Some I couldn’t understand what they were saying due to the thick accents.

Around midnight or so I started talking to a really cool and cute guy.  He was one of the "Men of Charlies – http://www.menofcharliesphotos.com " .  We had a few drinks then started hanging out with his friends and had alot more drinks before the night was over.  As soon as my beer was halfway gone they would have another one in my other hand.  Personally, I am used to drinking maybe 4 Utah beers in a night which are 3.2 %.  But down at charlies I bet I drank at least 12 beers … and they have 6% beer.  So, needless to say with the beer and the vodka I had been drinking I was pretty damn trashed.  I ended up staying the night at Robbies place and got some good sleep.

I made it back to devinas around noon on saturday. Devin hadn’t slept but 20 minutes since wednsday at this point.   I hung out at his house until around 4 or 5 ish when we attempted to go eat at Boston Market.  It was a sad attempt by my friends to eat.  They were wayy too cracked out to be even out in the public.  Then we headed back to their house where they continued to be cracked out.  I decided I didn’t want to stay and watch their crazy antics and so I asked devin if I could borrow his car.  He let me so I headed out for a night on the town.

I went down to the Biltmore mall and had some coffee there.  It was nice and relaxing and just what I needed after being around the crackheads.  I sat there and drank my Coffee while listining to some live music.  After this I decided to head out to the bars agian even though it was very early.  I went to charlies hoping I would run into Robbie agian.  They were line dancing there so it was quite fun to watch them.  They had .75 bud lights when I got there so I had two of them.  After a while of walking around there I headed over to Rosco’s a local gay sports bar.  I had a couple beers there and played some pool with a few guys.  We lost the pool match.  Then I headed back to Charlies.  I wandered around the bar for a while then I spotted Robbie.  I went over and chatted with him then we started drinking some more (I was milking my beers that night)  We ended up hanging outside chatting with the bartender for the rest of the night .. well until around 4 AM.  Then we headed back to his place agian.

I headed back to Devin’s around noon the next day since I had his car and at some point had to get to the airport.  We sat around his house for a bit and chatted.  Then we headed to soup-or-salad to try and get some food down us.  After this they took me to the airport and I was on my way back to SLC.  I made it home around midnight very tired and wore out from the weekend.  Quite the weekend it was too.  Anyways I will attach a few photos from the trip.  But, I didn’t take all too many this time.
